Lei is an ancient art emblematic of the Hawaiian Islands, and a symbol of Aloha and intercultural harmony renowned throughout the world. Lei are more than flowers sewn on a thread. The lei is a tangible expression of friendship, and as such are given to show love, joy, or sympathy, and as greetings and farewells. Come to our Lei workshop series to explore the art of traditional Hawaiian lei and learn how they fit in together songs and stories as beautiful as the natural materials from which they are woven.
