Papa Lehua Class

The Papa Lehua completed their 'uniki' with Loea Kawaikapu Hewett. Our ceremony was held at Loea's home on the Big Island.
Students of Papa Lehua class include: Ula, Ryoko, Keala, Kaoru, Ina, Snooky, Mayumi, Elisa, and me - Kawena.
Mahalo to all of our family, friends, and students for coming to Hilo and sharing this day with us.
Ho`ike

Mahalo to the dancers of Anapanapa Wai O Pu`olena for a wonderful performance last night at our ho`ike. Kumu Kawaikapu expressed his appreciation after the performance, saying that he was thankful for everything. I am very appreciative to you all, too. Continue to do your best and to be 'good learners.' May we continue to have many more wonderful hula memories.
